A Dynamic Facility

EMUThe UO Alumni Center will be a point of pride. It will be compelling for its daily users, returning alumni, current and future students, and the entire UO community.

The Alumni Center will evoke the university’s rich history and tradition while embracing its legacy of innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and excellence. With the continued need for private support to maintain this legacy, the partnership of alumni relations and development is increasingly critical.

The Alumni Center will serve a broad campus need for additional, quality meeting and event space. Public areas in the 70,000- square-foot facility will include:

  • A reception and lobby area that welcomes university visitors and serves as an engaging, easy place to meet and gather
  • Innovative, interactive space to present the university story in ways that will allow visitors to understand and experience Oregon from the moment they arrive on campus
  • A library providing alumni reference material and a quiet place to work or relax
  • Space to house and vibrantly display university history, showcase alumni accomplishments, recognize donors, and illustrate the impact our graduates have had on the university and the world
  • A banquet room and catering facilities to serve the numerous dining and conference events currently held on the campus and throughout the community by schools, colleges, and departments of the university
  • Conference and meeting rooms to accommodate various campus meetings and events
  • Expansive plazas and other outdoor spaces that celebrate the university’s trademark open spaces

Next: Build the Dream

“Even though I graduated fairly recently from Oregon, with all of the amazing development on campus, it feels a little less familiar each time I make the trip from Seattle. I’m convinced that a customized alumni center will help UO graduates quickly feel welcome when they do get back to campus.”
