The building site for the new Alumni Center, currently a parking lot connecting Agate Street, Franklin Boulevard and East Thirteenth Avenue, will create a new, highly visible gateway into the university campus.
The Alumni Center will serve as anchor for the East Thirteenth Avenue promenade that connects campus from east to west. Its proximity to the site of the new basketball arena and along the route between Hayward Field and the Autzen Stadium/Casanova Center complex will provide tremendous opportunity for interaction with Oregon athletics.
It will be a welcome center, the starting point for campus tours and the daily information sessions held for potential students and their parents. It will be the university’s front door.

“I know of no better way for our alumni to feel welcome and part of the university than by having a place to welcome them when they’re here. The Alumni Center has long been a desire of the university…and now it’s no longer just a nice idea; it’s necessary.”
