On February 29th, over 100 Ducks gathered at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, HI to eat, drink, mingle and help raise money for the Hawaii Alumni Chapter Scholarship. This was the largest turnout to date for the annual “Ducks on the Beach” event, which in its fourth year raised over $3500 for the chapter scholarship.

The Hawaii Chapter once again showed their creativity skills by putting together 35 unique Duck themed baskets for guests to bid on. Alumni at the event were also treated to a very special presentation by Dean Frances Bronet, of the School of Allied Arts and Architecture. Dean Bronet gave a great presentation that highlighted some of the work of current and former Duck students as well as some of the exciting architecture changes happening in Eugene and Portland. All-in-all it was a great event for all those who attended and the Hawaii Chapter is already begun the planning for next year’s event.
