Alumni in Southern California were treated to a very special presentation by UO Professor Rebecca Dorsey on Saturday, March 29th. On what turned out to be a very busy day in LA, alumni traveled to the Natural History Museum for lunch, a presentation by Professor Dorsey and then a tour of the museum.

Professor Dorsey is a geological sciences professor at the UO and she does her field work on seismic faults in the LA area. So it was very fitting to have her speak about the history of some of the faults and subsequent earthquakes that have taken place in the Southern California region. Her presentation was full of knowledge and insight into the geological make-up of the Southern California area and all those who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
