Homecoming and Family Weekend 2008

Featured Alum

Are you ready? Homecoming and Family Weekend 2008 kicks it up a notch with a full week of events celebrating the spirit of current students, faculty and staff, and welcoming parents and alumni back to campus.

The week focuses on spirit and tradition events for students, culminating in the weekend of October 10-12 with events for alumni and families.  On Friday night, the whole campus community comes together to watch the First Annual UO Homecoming and Family Weekend Parade as it winds its way through campus starting at 5:30 pm.  After the parade, the crowd jumps straight into the Pep Rally featuring cheerleaders and the UO Duck at the EMU Amphitheater.

As if Saturday wasn’t already busy enough watching the Ducks take on UCLA, participants can run in the Duck Dash 5K Run and Walk or attend the Official UO Homecoming Tailgate.  The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the Museum of Cultural and Natural History contribute to the fun by offering free museum admission both Saturday and Sunday.  The week finishes with a Parent/Alumni brunch in the Carson Dining facility on Sunday morning.
