Welcome to the debut issue of PDX Ducks, the University of Oregons new electronic newsletter for alumni and other friends in and around the Portland area. The universitys programs and activities in Portland are increasing, and we intend this quarterly newsletter to help you stay informed of new developments.

Connect PDX Ducks |
On the first Monday of every month, there is a group that meets at the University of Oregons Portland Center. Its not a business group, a class or a social function but the Portland Alumni Chapter that have gathered to discuss and plan ways to connect the 35,000 Ducks that live in the Portland area.

Explore Potential Partnership |
In an effort to develop partnerships with other entities statewide, Oregon Health & Science University announced Friday, November 19th, that they will sign a letter of understanding with the University of Oregon and PeaceHealth, Oregon Region, to examine new opportunities for training physicians in Oregon and encouraging them to practice in the state.

Organizers are promising a gala unlike any this state has previously seen when Lights, Camera, Oregon! takes place Jan. 29 at the UO Moshofsky Center.
