Staff, board, and sponsors of the Oregon Bach Festival were out in full force at Oregon Business magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon" award dinner March 2 at Portland's convention center. The event attracted more than 1,000 people from companies across the state.
The festival partnered with Eugene-based law firm Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C. to produce the evening's most memorable gift, "Everflowing," a CD sampler of selections from the festival's eight discs on the Hänssler label (university callers can hear more from the festival’s offerings while on hold with the university’s Audix phone system). In addition to the music, each disc came packaged with a greeting from the Harrang firm, a discount ticket offer, and corporate sponsorship information.
Defteling Design, a Portland graphics studio, produced the attractive CD package. Pacific Continental Bank, First Tech Credit Union, and attorneys Hutchison, Cox, Coons, DuPriest, Orr, and Sherlock were among other festival corporate sponsors who attended the awards dinner.
The festival also looks ahead to a private reception for university alums and friends at the home of UO Foundation trustee Gay Davis on April 5.
A Grammy Award-winning program of the university, the Oregon Bach Festival takes place June 30-July 16 with nearly 50 concerts and events on campus and at Eugene's Hult Center for the Performing Arts.
