Join the Arnold Bennett Hall Society

More than a thousand people have let the Office of Gift Planning know that the University of Oregon is a beneficiary of their estate plans. As a result, they are now members of the university’s legacy society, the Arnold Bennett Hall Society. If you have included the university in your estate, we encourage you to notify the Office of Gift Planning and become a member of this society.

Inspire Others

Jon Burnham ’69 is among many Arnold Bennett Hall Society members who encourage others to update their estate plans. “I’ve had clients who planned but never got around to putting the UO in their will,” said Burnham, a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. “Hopefully, by joining this society, we will be able to give a gentle push to others to put their affairs in order.”

By allowing your name to be used in university publications, your thoughtful generosity may inspire others. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will certainly honor your wishes.

Enjoy Special Events

Every year, President Dave Frohnmayer honors Arnold Bennett Hall Society members at an annual event hosted by the Office of Gift Planning. For the last two years, this event has preceded the closing performance of the Oregon Bach Festival.

Achieve Your Goals

If you tell us which areas on campus you wish to support, we can suggest wording that will safeguard your wishes by providing for future contingencies. Periodically, we alert society members of opportunities to reduce their taxes through support of the university. We are glad to provide personalized calculations illustrating how you can benefit from various gift planning tools, such as charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities.
