White Stag Block shines in Oregonian's special section

White Stag InteriorThe University of Oregon in Portland's White Stag Block was the sole subject of a special section inserted into the Oregonian on March 30, 2008 -- the day before classes started in the facility.

The UO commissioned the newspaper's Custom Publications department to produce the 12-page spread in which veteran journalist and former Oregonian staff writer Richard Hill wrote pieces highlighting the White Stag Block's role in the neighborhood, its green features (it will receive LEED gold certification) and the professionally geared, hands-on Portland programs that remain part of the UO's Eugene-based schools and colleges.
