Give the Gift of Membership this Holiday Season

UOAA Member Appreciation Night at the Ford Alumni Center

This holiday season, while you’re shopping for gifts for your friends and family, ask yourself one important question: “Are they Duck fans too?”

If the answer is “Yes,” then the perfect gift for them may not be the latest gadget or pair of sneakers, but a membership in the University of Oregon Alumni Association.

The UOAA is not an exclusive club whose membership is reserved solely for graduates of the UO. Anyone can join—the only prerequisites are that they love the Ducks, and bleed green and yellow (don’t worry; they don’t have to take a test to prove the latter).

Ducks’ Night Out at the Duck Store

Memberships can be gifted, and discounted memberships are available for Ducks who graduated within the last four years, or who graduated 50 or more years ago. Dues are also 80 percent tax deductible.

Membership in the alumni association helps Duck fans stay connected to the UO, gives the university an amplified voice in Salem, and provides current, future, and former students with a network that can do anything from assisting with a job search to helping Ducks connect with each other across the globe.

As a member yourself, you are also no doubt aware that a membership also provides tangible rewards to members. Giving the gift of UOAA membership also means that the Duck fans in your life will receive all four editions of Oregon Quarterly, invitations to the Duck Alumni Tailgate and bowl game travel packages, an annual 20 percent off coupon to the Duck Store, discounts at select national retailers, invitations to academic and career networking events, including science nights and the Duck Biz Lunch, and international travel opportunities. Not only that, but with the bowl game coming up, it also means they will be invited to the only official UO alumni pregame event.

So, this holiday season, our important question to you is: “Why not give a gift that not only keeps on giving, but gives back as well?”
