Rebuilding the Pond

A cleat cleaner sits alone in what used to be Howe Field's left field area. Construction on Jane Sanders Stadium began two days after the 2015 season ended, and the new park is expected to be ready in time for the start of the 2016 season. Howe Field, built in 1936 as a baseball stadium, had been the home of the UO's softball team since 1987.
