2015 Pick-Up Band UO vs EWU

Calling all musicians! Herald the beginning of football season with the Pick-Up Band! Because this game is prior to OMB band camp, UO alumni, current students, and potential students are invited to perform in Autzen Stadium as the Ducks take on the Eastern Washington University Eagles. Help serenade the Ducks to victory!

Join the fun by registering before August 31 at 5:00 pm. The registration cost covers game entrance, a loaned instrument (if needed), pizza, and a t-shirt, with all proceeds going back to support the OMB.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent out Tuesday, September 1. Please e-mail trevorwesten@gmail.com with cancellations. Alumni should only register through the UOAA, and you do NOT need to fill out the OMB's survey.

“Day of” Details
Buses depart from and return to McArthur Court, located on University Avenue between 15th and 18th Streets.

What to Wear: We will provide a t-shirt. Please wear blue jeans or long blue jean shorts (no holes) and comfortable shoes! We will not do any intense marching, but we will run onto the field.

What to Bring: Instrument (unless you are borrowing one from the OMB), plastic water bottle, hat (optional for in the stands, we will not wear hats on the field), sunscreen, sunglasses, earplugs, and lyre (if needed). Music will be provided.

Instrument Check-Out: Indicate you need an instrument on the survey. You will pick instruments up at the truck located inside the gates of Autzen. Reed players will need their own mouthpiece, reeds, ligature, etc.

11:30 a.m. Buses 1 and 2 depart (percussion, sousaphones, color guard, and people needing equipment)
11:45 a.m. Buses 3, 4, and 5 depart (all others)
12:00 p.m. Instrument check-out and warm-up in sections
12:30 p.m. Rehearsal begins on the field
2:30 p.m. Rehearsal begins in the stands
3:00 p.m. Dinner (pizza)
4:10 p.m. Stage in the east tunnel for pregame
4:40 p.m. Pregame
5:00 p.m. Kickoff
7:00 p.m. (approximate) Halftime
8:30 p.m. (approximate) End of game. Return instruments to truck. Buses depart for McArthur Court
9:00 p.m. (approximate) Buses arrive at McArthur Court

You have the choice to participate on the field. Everyone who wants to march on the field is required to attend the rehearsal at 12:30 p.m. If you choose to play only in the stands, instrument check-out is at 2:00 p.m., and rehearsal is in the stands at 2:30 p.m.
