Welcome New Executive Director

Kelly Menachemson Named Associate Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of the UOAA

EUGENE, OR – The University of Oregon Alumni Association is proud to introduce Kelly Menachemson as its twentieth executive director.

Menachemson, formerly the executive director of development and external affairs in the College of Education, began her new role in the Ford Alumni Center on February 15.

“I’m really excited to be taking on this role,” said Menachemson. “I’m looking forward to taking what I know about the institution and blending it with what is new.”

Menachemson has served the UO in a number of positions over the last eight years, and in addition to the College of Education has worked with the Clark Honors College and the PathwayOregon program. At the College of Education she was the primary fund-raising professional and liaison to the UO development office. She and her staff managed donor and alumni relations, events, and worked closely with the Dean's Office on major initiatives.

Menachemson was selected following an internal search to replace Paul Clifford, who returned home to Pennsylvania to head the Penn State Alumni Association in December. The search was led by Mike Andreasen, vice president for university advancement, with input from UOAA Board of Directors President Sandra McDonough, BA ’76, BA '76 and fellow UOAA board members.

“I am delighted that Kelly has accepted our invitation to be the next executive director of the UO Alumni Association,” said Andreasen. “She brings strong university experience and genuine enthusiasm to our collective efforts to engage all of our alumni worldwide. I look forward to working closely with her in this new senior management role.”

“I am very excited that Kelly will be our new UOAA director,” McDonough said. “She will hit the ground running, given her years of experience at the university, and she will be a strong voice for alumni engagement as we build an even stronger university under President Schill’s leadership.”
