UOAA Mission:
The University of Oregon Alumni Association exists to foster lifelong connections with the University of Oregon.

UOAA Values:
As the university’s strategic partner, the UOAA builds pride and value/equity in a UO degree by communicating and supporting the cornerstones of the university.

Personality:
The UOAA is vital, relevant, respected, cool and fun.

Goal:
To build Awareness, Understanding, and Support for the UOAA’s positioning with alumni and key UO constituencies through innovative, creative and comprehensive strategic planning initiatives.

For a summary of the UOAA’s Strategic Operating Plan, click here. This plan was written by the UOAA Board of Directors and UOAA staff, with key input from university partners, alumni and students. It was based on a 2004 Alumni Attitude survey of UO Alumni.

The UO Alumni Association was founded in 1879 and originally served five alumni. Today we serve more than 155,000 alumni and friends, including more than 18,000 members (including about 4,000 life members).

We keep UO alumni connected to the university through:

• uoalumni.com
• e-mails and eNewsletters
• Events on campus like Homecoming and Class Reunions
• Watch parties, receptions, and signature events
in different geographic locations throughout the U.S. and around the world.
Oregon Quarterly
• Career Services
• Alumni Mentoring
• Travel Programs

The Alumni Association plays an integral role in the success and viability of the University of Oregon. We fund scholarships for incoming students and sponsor one of the largest endowed Presidential Scholarships on campus. We also assist the University’s legislative advocacy efforts through the Alumni Advocates, a group of alumni and friends committed to lobbying state legislators on behalf of the higher education and the University of Oregon.

The best way to get involved with the Alumni Association is by joining the UOAA as a member. Membership has its privileges – great benefits and the satisfaction of supporting your alma mater.
