Working with University Advancement is a great way to get experience and make connections while you're at the University of Oregon. University Advancement engages donors, alumni, government policy makers, and members of the community in support of the UO's mission: providing exceptional teaching, discovery, and service.
You can find open positions for student associates on Handshake.
The Advancement Leadership Internship (ALI) is a best-in-class internship opportunity for aspiring professionals who are interested in gaining non-profit management experience. This is a paid internship that lasts the full academic year (beginning fall term) and can be thought of as a crash course for the next generation of non-profit leaders and advocates. This opportunity allows interns the chance to rotate within University Advancement at the University of Oregon to gain a deeper understanding of fundraising in higher education, solve real problems and projects, and learn from experts in their career field. A portion of the internship also includes a learning series in which each week interns hear from fundraising experts, participate in professional development opportunities and participate in group projects.
You can find more information and examples of previous projects from past interns on our ALI website. For more information on how to register, visit and apply on the ALI website. If you have questions, please contact the internships program manager Taylor Fowler.
