Happy Homecoming week! This is a busy time at the University of Oregon, and for the SAA. It includes one of our favorite events of the year: the Fall Food Drive! Every Homecoming, we encourage Ducks to come together to help end food insecurity on campus by supporting the Student Food Pantry. There will be collection bins for non-perishable food items at the following locations around campus all week for you to make a donation: • Ford Alumni Center • Club Sports (EMU) • Student Sustainability Center (EMU) • Lillis Business Complex We will also be accepting donations at the Duck Store during the Beat Washington t-shirt handout on Friday, October 20 from 11 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Bring your cans when you come to pick up your Beat Tee for gameday!
All non-perishable food item donations are accepted. Check the Student Food Pantry website to find out which items are the most needed. Fresh foods are accepted. If you would like to donate fresh foods or dairy products, please bring them to the Ford Alumni Center drop-off location on Friday, October 20, to maximize shelf life.
The Student Food Pantry is open to all college students in the Eugene/Springfield area with a valid school ID. You can find more information and hours on their website. If you are in need of food security resources, please visit the UO's Basic Needs Program Website.
