UOAA Board of Directors
The UOAA is overseen by a board of directors that manages the association’s finances and advises the UOAA Executive Director and staff on how best to engage UO alumni.
The board consists of between 38 and 44 voting members and represent the broad diversity of all UO alumni in all respects, including but not limited to age, class year, school and degree, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and participation in various student and alumni programs.
Members of the board are also alumni who have remained active with UO alumni and/or current students, or who have demonstrated a history of service to other communities.
Three non-voting members also serve on the UOAA board:
- The UOAA Executive Director
- The UO’s Vice President for Advancement
- The Student Alumni Association’s Director of Alumni Relations
The board meets in person three times each year—twice in Eugene and once in Portland. Meetings are generally all day on a Friday and a half day on Saturday in the fall, winter, and spring. Board members commit to participating in all board meetings and serving as ambassadors within the UO alumni community.
