How have your experiences and service affected your life?

At just 17 years old, I literally matured in the U.S. Army into an adult and developed the ability to speak up for myself as well as for the men that reported to me. In the new all-volunteer military, I broadened my sense of self with others from all around the country (82nd Airborne Division "All American"). Sense of mission, service to my men, and respect for authority were all things I learned in the U.S. Army, which prepared me for afterward while at the University of Oregon.

What is your current career? How did your experiences as a veteran impact your career?

Senior Project Manager (IT). With no real comparison to business life, my time in the U.S. Army provided me with the basics of being a good leader and person. This has been beneficial nearly every single day of my life.
