How have your experiences and service affected your life?

Serving in the world's greatest Air Force helped mold me into the person I am today. Along the way I was fortunate enough to meet lifelong friends, learn valuable lessons, and visit places few have experienced.

Were you involved with UO Army ROTC, the Student Veterans Center, Veterans and Family Student Association, or any other organizations on campus during your time as a UO student? If so, please describe your experience.

I was heavily involved in the Student Veterans Center on campus. I highly recommend incoming student veterans to visit the Veterans Center if they can. The center offers a place veterans can gather, relax, share stories, study, and most of all have fun. At times we received our fair share of noise complaints from laughing so hard.

What is your current career? How did your experiences as a veteran impact your career?

My current career is in marketing. My experiences as a veteran cultivated an unparalleled fascination for both travel and diplomacy. Additionally, my experiences in the military provided a front-row seat to how changes in regimes and negotiations between nations affected the mission. These same concepts can be applied to marketing and how the fluctuating needs of the consumer influences the marketing tactics of large companies.
