Duck Connect is the University of Oregon’s new university-wide mentorship and networking platform. The platform will connect students, alumni, faculty, staff, donors, and friends to build meaningful relationships, explore career pathways, seek and share advice, and participate in mentorship opportunities. Managed jointly by the University of Oregon Alumni Association and University Career Center, Duck Connect will support the university’s goal to become a leader in career preparation.

How Duck Connect works

Duck Connect makes it easy to connect with current UO students and fellow UO alumni in ways that align with your interest, expertise, and availability.  

As a participant, you can:  

  • Create a profile highlighting your background, interests, and areas of expertise.

  • Set your availability to manage the number of messages you have capacity for each month (and change it at any time). 

  • Connect with students, alumni, and friends across the UO community.

  • Share career advice and industry insights by responding to direct messages from students and meeting with them 1:1. 

  • Participate in groups that align with your industry and experience.  

  • Explore events, in-person networking opportunities, and other ways to stay connected with the Duck community beyond Duck Connect. 

  • Be part of a UO-wide community dedicated to career preparation and lifelong connections. 

Whether you have time for an occasional, asynchronous conversation with a student or want to meet with students face-to-face, Duck Connect allows you to connect with students specifically looking for your expertise.
