University Day is more than advocacy; it's a chance to hone your networking skills and witness the policy making process firsthand!
 

How to participate:

Team Captain Virtual Orientation: Monday, January 29, Noon – 1:00 p.m.
Attendee Virtual Orientation: Monday, February 5, Noon – 1:00 p.m.

Learn, network, and advocate: 
Join students, alumni, faculty, and other advocates from all seven of Oregon’s public universities: University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Portland State University, Western Oregon University, Southern Oregon University, Eastern Oregon University, and the Oregon Institute of Technology.

You’ll gain experience meeting with legislators and advocating for legislation to:

  • Address critical issues for students from funding summer bridge programs that help first year students succeed and feel more connected on campus to making course materials more affordable.
  • Expand, sustain, and diversify Oregon’s youth behavioral health workforce and funds programs with impactful outcomes like the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program, which trains UO students for careers in Oregon’s quickly growing semiconductor field.
