UO alumni flock home to Oregon

This fall, UO alumni and friends are returning to Eugene to soak in the campus and reconnect with friends. Alumni from the classes of 2015, 2016, and 2017 reflect on their journeys and share what they’re most looking forward to at their 10-Year Reunion.

Oregon football alumnus made his own path inspiring others

JJ Birden, BS ’89 (leisure studies & services), never meant to make it to the NFL. Now a retired football player, he’s sharing lessons from his career with thousands of people, so they can conquer their own challenges.

Meg Tsukamoto, BA ’00 (Japanese), has spent the last 25 years living and working in Japan. She is a professional emcee, serving as both interpreter and facilitator for large events.

Ducks give blood

The Big Ten and Abbott are again partnering for the "We Give Blood" drive through December 3. Donate to a location near to save up to three lives—and support your alumni association. Abbott will give $1 to the UOAA for every UO alum who donates, up to $10,000. Show proof of your donation and score a specially-designed t-shirt.

The marine biologist who opened a brewery

After following her passion for marine biology from Bandon, Oregon to Antarctica, Annie Pollard, BS '06, MS '08 (biology), decided to settle down and pursue her other passion: brewing beer. Pollard and her husband opened 7 Devils Brewery in Coos Bay.

Celebrating an outstanding season for Oregon baseball

Oregon baseball fought back in their Super Regional game, but ultimately fell to Texas, narrowly missing the College World Series. The Ducks have reached the Super Regional three times in the last four years.
