About the Speaker: Tyler Sloat
Tyler Sloat has more than twenty-five years of experience in finance and operations roles for SaaS, software and hardware technology companies varying in size from start-up to Fortune 500. Tyler joined Freshworks as CFO in early 2020 and expanded his role in 2024 to become COO & CFO. Tyler brings a strong performance record, financial acumen, and strategic insight. At Freshworks, Tyler oversees the accounting, finance, security, IT, corporate strategy, revenue operations and revenue enablement functions.
Previously, Tyler served as CFO at Zuora, Inc. for nearly 10 years, guiding the subscription payments leader from start-up through successful IPO and subsequent quarters as a public company. In that role, he helped the company grow ARR ~20x and raised over $200M in capital. Prior to Zuora, Tyler was the Chief Financial Officer for Obopay, where he was integral in raising well over $100M in investment and strategic capital, deploying Obopay's mobile payment service in four countries spanning three continents. Before Obopay, Tyler held executive finance roles at a variety of companies including NetApp Inc. and Siebel Systems, Inc.
Tyler is a registered (inactive) C.P.A. in the State of California, has an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Boston College. Sloat served on the Board of Directors for Oanda, Inc. and Compass Professional Health Services, Inc. He is currently an advisor and/or investor in a variety of private companies.
