Career coaching isn’t just for executives! Everyone can benefit, no matter what stage you’re at or position you hold. These UO alumni are professional, communications and/or career coaches who provide fee-based personalized professional development services, and want to help fellow Ducks.
Rate details are available through the coaches and may vary by services sought, market and other factors. Coaches offer their services in-person or virtually by phone or video. When talking with coaches, please be sure to mention that you are a UO alumnus/a.
As a reminder, UO graduates within one year of graduation may receive career advising through the UO Career Center. Graduates of the College of Design, Lundquist College of Business, School of Journalism and Communication, and School of Law from any graduation year may find career advising assistance through each of these school’s advising offices.
The Duck Career Network is pleased to share career coaching services as part of a pilot initiative that began in 2021.

What is the benefit of working one-on-one with a career coach?
With a coach, you will have support from someone with expertise in all the areas of search (resume, cover letter, LinkedIn, interviewing, negotiation), which is really helpful. But you also get a partner and guide in the process – someone to be your cheerleader and sounding board. Someone to provide perspective for this transition that is bigger than what is happening just in this moment. It will get easier!

What is the benefit of working one-on-one with a career coach?
Testimonial from a UO alumni client: “The interviewing skills I learned from Lisa were invaluable in landing my dream job as a judge. I’ve told many people that I have no doubt Lisa was an important part of my achievement of being appointed. The second time I was up for the position, the person in charge said she didn’t need to interview me because I had interviewed so well with her the first time, as I had again in the panel interview the second time. I knew I had the right skills for the position but was nervous about such high-pressure interviews, and working with Lisa empowered me to present my qualifications with confidence and show I was the right candidate for the job.” —Elizabeth, JD ‘93

What is the benefit of working one-on-one with a career coach?
From my personal experience, having an objective person serve as a sounding board for your thoughts is the biggest benefit. A career coach helps you come to your own conclusions and does not steer you in particular directions. That being said, we are professionals at things like resumes, cover letters, and networking, so we can absolutely help you level up your skills and confidence to find success!
What is the benefit of working with a Duck Career Coach?
