As more people in the US and around the world are getting vaccinated, the UO Alumni Association (UOAA) has announced its 2021-22 travel destinations for alumni.

Last year, the UOAA suspended its state-side and international travel. However, with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announcing new guidelines for people who are fully vaccinated—tourism is back on.

“We are very excited to be working with our partners to reintroduce our travel program offerings for the rest of 2021 through next year,” said Raphe Beck, executive director of the UOAA.

The UOAA’s travel partners include Go Next, AHI Travel, and Orbridge. All are premier agencies that specialize in alumni travel. According to Beck, the agencies are taking special care to safeguard the health of travelers by ensuring the best health and safety standards.

“We know that it is important that our alumni feel safe as they begin to travel again. The UOAA, along with our travel partners, will continue to follow guidelines,” said Beck.

Alumni looking for their first adventures since the start of the pandemic can stick close to home in the US or venture off the beaten path with one of the international trips.

Beck points out that there is something for everyone. Travelling Ducks will see compelling Civil War sites and battlefields, discover the abundant wildlife in Alaska, revel in the magnificent monuments of Rome, stroll along the sparkling sea in Greece, discover ancient Egypt along the Nile River, and much more.
