Raphe held positions in a diverse range of fields prior to joining the UOAA in 2019 as its executive director. Over his career he has been a screenwriter, a Teach for America corps member, and the executive director of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Alumni Association.
In his current position, Raphe manages all of the UOAA staff, who collectively help to keep over 250,000 alumni across the globe connected and supportive of the university. He believes that college is a transformative time and that staying involved with one's alma mater allows people to keep growing throughout their entire lives. His own transformative periods took place at Stanford University, where he earned his bachelor’s in creative writing, and the UC Berkeley-Haas School of Business, where he earned his master’s degree.
An Illinois native, Raphe lives in Eugene with his wife and daughter as well as their loveable mutt, Gracie. In his free-time, he enjoys watching films, cooking, biking, and committing to the belief that no one has to decide what they want to do with the rest of their life—they just have to decide what to do next.
Raphe could not ask for a better job than leading the team that serves and engages over 250,000 Duck alumni around the world.
