Oregon football’s regular season is halfway through, and it’s proving to be another exciting year to be a Duck. Win or lose, rain or shine, UO alumni and fans are coming together to tailgate at Autzen Stadium, cheer on the team on the road, and meet up in their home communities for chapter watch parties.
Below are some highlights from our alumni community so far this season. Want to join the fun? Check out our football page for a lineup of away tailgates, weekly watch parties, and more. The UO Alumni Association (UOAA) wants to make sure you are surrounded by fellow Ducks this football season.

Watch parties
Football watch parties are being held at 26 venues across the nation this season—plus an international watch party in Singapore! With chapters in areas like Portland, Southern California, New York, and Atlanta, there are opportunities to gather with fellow UO alumni in every corner of the country.
These watch parties are about more than football. They offer UO alumni the chance to stay connected with the university, meet new friends who share their love for Oregon, and make new connections while traveling. It’s exciting to see Ducks fans take over restaurants and bars, repping green and yellow hundreds and thousands of miles away from Autzen Stadium.

Travel & tailgates
We were thrilled to share Oregon’s win over Penn State with more than 750 alumni and fans at our Mighty Oregon Tailgate in Happy Valley. Among the group were more than 140 alumni and fans who took part in the UOAA’s travel and game day packages, which offer top-notch hotel stays, ground transportation, and fun events, so fans can stay focused on their Duck pride and leave the details to Ducks Fan Travel.
As we keep our hopes high for an Oregon postseason run, stay connected with the UOAA for upcoming travel offerings. If the Ducks make it into the College Football Playoff, you can bet we’ll be hitting the road with them then, too.
In the meantime, Ducks fans can flock with us to close out the regular season in Husky territory. Our Mighty Oregon Tailgate at Washington on Saturday, November 29, is the perfect chance to celebrate our second Big Ten season with fellow Ducks in a familiar Pacific Northwest stadium—and against a familiar rival. In a sea of purple, let’s show out in yellow and green.
In addition to away games, the UOAA knows how to bring the fun to tailgate alley outside Autzen Stadium, too. We host tailgates for a variety of programs—including reunions and affinity network gatherings.
The classes of 1974, 1975, and 1976 and the class of 1965 came together ahead of the game against Oregon State, as part of their 50th and 60th Reunions weekend. The UO Black Alumni Network gathered before the Indiana game. The Oregon Alumni Band is preparing for their favorite tailgate of the year ahead of the Wisconsin game, during their annual Oregon Marching Band Reunion Weekend. And members of Native Duck Nation will connect before the game against USC in November. Plus, Order of the O—the network for former UO athletes—is hosting tailgates during five home games this season.

Showing out for College GameDay
Though the outcome of the game against Indiana wasn’t what any Ducks fan hoped for, the energy on the UO’s Eugene campus ahead of the October 11 matchup was palpable. The university again played host to ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast, with students, alumni, and fans showing out to represent Oregon on a national stage.
