Have you ever wondered what it takes to make it big in content creation and social media entrepreneurship? Join us for this skill-sharing workshop where we’ll learn from two recent grads turned TikTok entrepreneurs. Adam Faris, BA ’20 and Connor Bussey, BS ’19 will discuss their early beginnings in startups and the path they have taken to scale a social media side hustle into a successful business.
The TikTok videos documenting the adventures of Adam and Connor have drawn more than 2 million followers across several accounts, and they average around 65 million views per month on TikTok alone. Their videos, including the ever popular Mansiontok account, focus on showcasing luxury lifestyles in major cities across the US – think cars, yachts, mansions, and sports. Since launching in January of 2021, they've worked with iconic brands such as Road & Track, Sports Illustrated, the Seattle Seahawks, and global brands like eToro, among others.

Adam Faris, BS ’20 (general social science)
Adam is an online content creator with a combined 2 million-plus followers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat, averaging around 40-70 million views per month. He has worked with Sports Illustrated, Porsche, Bleacher Report, The Portland Trail Blazers, The Seattle Seahawks, and Overtime among many other notable brands. While at the UO, Adam cofounded the student-led Oregon Blockchain with Connor Bussey.
Connor Bussey, BS ’19 (business administration)
Connor is a finance and marketing professional and entrepreneur focused in the media and content creation industry. He recently co-founded Dapper Life Media with his business partner, Adam Faris. Connor leads all networking, negotiation, client relations, finance, growth strategy, business development, and operational management for his company, among other tasks. Clients include Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report, Hearst Media, Sony, Snickers, and The Portland Trail Blazers.
Max Green, BS ’20 (business administration), panel moderator
Max is a senior finance and strategy analyst at Intel Corporation, and no stranger to career networking and sharing professional advice. Max has volunteered with UO Student Alumni Association programming, providing advice on job hunting post-graduation during the pandemic. As the career networking chair for the PDX Ducks Chapter, he has been an advocate for the Duck Career Network, serving as event moderator and volunteer liaison. He is currently pursuing his master of quantitative management and data analytics at Duke University.
