The Central Oregon Ducks build the UO's presence in central Oregon, create networking opportunities and connections among UO alumni, and provide scholarship funds for local central Oregon students. Chapter Board Members
Julie Burket
Chapter President
Julie, a native Oregonian from Medford, has been a dedicated Oregon Ducks fan since childhood, attending nearly every home game since 1967. She studied Communication at the University of Oregon and earned a bachelor's degree in Speech from Portland State University, subsequently working as a television news reporter with strong experience in Business Management and Marketing. Since 2009, Julie has owned and operated Right at Home in Home Care of Central Oregon, and her involvement in UOAA Central Oregon fuels her passion for education and supporting local high school students.
TJ Murphy BS ’16
Chapter Treasurer
TJ is a graduate of the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business, where he concentrated in Entrepreneurship and minored in Writing, Public Speaking, and Critical reasoning. He is the owner of Hite Digital Bend, where he guides adventurous entrepreneurs to clarify their messaging, develop the right marketing strategies, and gain a new level of freedom in their business. TJ is an avid skier, mountain biker, rock climber, and lover of all things adventure and travel. He is married to his high school sweetheart and lives happily in beautiful Bend, OR.
Kyle Frick BS ’89
Board Member
Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, Kyle graduated from Mt. View High School in 1980 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Oregon in 1989. Since 2003, he has served as the Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations for Mid Oregon Credit Union, and he remains active in various local organizations, including the Bend Chamber, Rotary Club, and Greater Bend Foundation. In his free time, Kyle enjoys golf, skiing, wake surfing, and travel, and both of his kids graduated from Bend High School.
Dona Barber BS ’80
Board Member
Dona Barber attended Lane Community College and the University of Oregon, where she interned with various political offices. She built a diverse career, primarily in fundraising for universities such as the University of Nevada, Reno, and San Diego State, and for non-profits, while also coordinating major events and reunions. She volunteered extensively, particularly with foster children through the CASA program, and now resides in Redmond, enjoying time with her family and engaging in hobbies like raising alpacas and breeding Bengal cats.
Michael O'Herron BS ’71, MS ’78
Board Member
Mike, a lifelong Duck from Eugene, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1971 and a master’s degree in 1978. He and his wife Anne are Lifetime members of the University of Oregon Alumni Association, and Mike has served on various Duck Club boards, raising funds for the Duck Athletic Fund to support student athlete scholarships. Mike’s mother, Yvonne O’Herron, co-founded the Daisy Ducks in 1972 and was its last charter member until she passed away at age 97.
Misty Boughton
Board Member
Misty, a long-time Duck fan and frequent visitor to Autzen Stadium, is the founder, President, and CEO of Caldera Family Medicine in Bend, Oregon. With over 15 years of experience in the health field, she brings a unique perspective to her leadership role, applying critical thinking and creativity to develop long-term strategies. Outside of work, Misty enjoys Bend's outdoor activities with her two teenagers.
Tyler Carskadon BA ’18
Board Member
Tyler is a 2018 graduate where he earned a BA in Advertising from the School of Journalism and Communication. Following graduation, his career started with the Seattle Mariners where he was a part of the marketing and strategy teams. Tyler moved to Bend with his wife, Courtney, in 2021 where he now runs marketing for Summit Health. He enjoys taking advantage of what all Central Oregon has to offer and is excited to be involved with the Central Oregon Alumni Association.
Courtney Carskadon BS ’18
Board Member
Courtney, a 2018 graduate of the University of Oregon with a BS in Psychology and Political Science, earned her Juris Doctorate and Master's in Criminal Justice from Seattle University School of Law. She now practices criminal law in Bend, Oregon, where she lives with her husband, Tyler, and their dog, Maverick. As a dedicated UO alumna, Courtney is excited to collaborate with fellow Central Oregon board members to continue the legacy of excellence at the University of Oregon.
Lynn Monroe BS '78
Board Member
Lynn was born in California, moved to Oregon in 1968, and graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Sociology in 1978, where I also cheered for the Ducks. After working as a flight attendant and living in various places, including Indonesia and Texas, I settled in Bend, Oregon, in 2015. Now 67, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing pickleball, and supporting the Ducks, maintaining a strong connection to my university and friends.
Eric Normen BS '15
Board Member
Eric was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and graduated from the University of Oregon in 2015 with a degree in accounting and non-profit administration. He serves as CFO for Taylor Development in Bend, Oregon. When Eric is not working or watching Duck sports, he enjoys trail running, skiing, and exploring central Oregon adventures.
Connor McCullough BS '18
Board Member
Connor, originally from Tualatin, Oregon, is a University of Oregon graduate with a degree in Math and Physics. After three years as an analyst at a hedge fund, Connor founded his own financial planning firm in 2022. With a specialized focus on tax strategies, he serves small and medium-sized businesses, medical professionals, attorneys, and executives. His expertise spans tax law, estate planning, and comprehensive financial strategies. A former athlete in basketball and football, Connor is passionate about using his analytical skills and community-focused mindset to make a positive impact.
