April Miller joined the UOAA in August 2022 as the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications. Her position involves using communications strategies to support alumni engagement and telling alumni stories through channels such as Shout, UOAA online news, and social media.

Prior to joining the UOAA, April worked in marketing and communications roles for municipalities in Oregon and Texas, as well as a broadcast news producer at the Texas-Oklahoma border. Through these experiences, she developed a passion for storytelling, community engagement, and public service. April graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in journalism and a minor in French.

Outside of work, April enjoys spending time with her husband, Josiah, their rescue bull terrier Ruby, and family and friends. She also loves hiking in Oregon’s beautiful forests, traveling, and trying local restaurants.
