Hello! I graduated from UO in 2014 with my PhD in Sociology. Although my career began with a tenure track teaching position at a small university in Ohio, an eagerness to return to Oregon and grow in other ways led me in some other surprising directions. I am now the data equity coordinator in the Office of Equity and Multicultural Services at the Oregon Dept. of Human Services and recently published a book for undergraduate students (see attached link). My UO sociology experience and the faculty there remains a powerful guiding force for me. Feel free to reach out if this note is of interest! Thanks ~ Matt
