Luke Erickson (MS, '96) accepted the position of Email Marketing Manager for the George Washington University in October 2023. He was previously the Sr. Email Marketing for American Public Education Inc and the American Public University System since 2014.

Jackson Morawski (BA '15) graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree, Pro Bono Honors, and a J.D. Business Law Certificate.

In May 2023, Edward Lee Lamoureux, Ph.D. (UO Ph.D. Rhetoric and Communication, 1985) retired, after 37 years, as Emeritus Professor at Bradley University (Peoria IL). Lamoureux arrived as Basic Speech Course Director in the Department of Communication and co-founded the Multimedia Program (now the Department of Interactive Media). Living in Peoria IL, Lamoureux was recently elected to the Board of the Bix Beiderbecke Museum and Archive in Davenport IA. Married to Cheryl since 1981, the Lamoureuxs enjoy 4 adult off-spring and 4 grandchildren.

I've spent the last four and a half years working as the lead stationing analyst for US Army Garrison Ansbach and living within the walls of the historic city of Dinkelsbuehl. Except for two and a half years on the staff of the Naval War College, I've been overseas since I put the Pioneer Era Color Guard together for the University Convocation in the Fall of 2001. After a career that began with graduation with a degree in History and commissioning as a Field Artillery Officer, I am looking forward to finally retiring after the turn of the new year , and will be living in Cambridge, England.

I'm living in Keizer and, after a long career in journalism, working for a Walmart store in Salem.

I have been promoted at The New York Times to Senior Editor for Storytelling and will now help the Times envision new story formats and design directions for our home screen and articles.

Dr. Laurence Musgrove '87, a professor in Angelo State University's Natalie Zan Ryan Department of English and Modern Languages, has published his fourth book, a collection of poems titled "A Stranger's Heart", through Lamar University Literary Press.

"A Stranger's Heart" contains 67 poems written by Musgrove between 2015-22, 40 of which have been previously published in various regional and national journals.

Inspired by the Buddhist tradition, Musgrove's poems explore finding meaning and beauty in the mundane moments of contemporary life. Subjects include dogs, teaching and the nature of mortality. What makes these poems particularly special is how relatable and accessible they are to contemporary readers. The book also includes illustrations by Musgrove's daughter, Myra Musgrove, a New York-based artist and illustrator.

Musgrove's previous books include:

"Local Bird (2015)" poetry collection

An ASU faculty member since 2009, Musgrove served as chair of the Department of English and Modern Languages from 2009-19 and has been the faculty advisor for ASU's Oasis arts and literary journal since 2016. He has published numerous individual poems, academic articles, short fiction and cartoons in a wide variety of literary journals dating back to 1998. He is also the editor of the Texas Poetry Assignment online poetry journal. Earlier this year, he completed a prestigious Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program in Taiwan.

Also a member of the Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers and the National Council of Teachers of English Assembly for Expanded Perspectives in Learning, Musgrove earned his Ph.D. in English at the University of Oregon.

I'm a graduate of the University of Oregon's MFA program in Creative Writing, class of 2005, and I send news of a forthcoming poetry book publication. My second collection of poetry, No Spare People, will be published October 20, 2023, by Black Lawrence Press. Kaveh Akbar, K. Iver, Jessica Jacobs, and Cate Marvin have praised No Spare People.

As a 1979 graduate in Theatre, I have been involved with the theatre world for a very long time. I have written my first play and am ecstatic that it is making its premiere on October 5th at Performance Works NW in Portland, Oregon. The play, Coming Up for Air, follows one woman's search for answers to her behavioral health challenges. Three actresses portray this woman at ages 20, 40 and 60 years old. The play has been a labor of love as well as a cathartic journey.

After receiving my masters degree from Cornell University, I took the Sustainability Lead and Enologist role at Domaine Carneros by Taittinger in Napa Valley. I work on the winemaking team making high quality sparkling wines. As the sustainability lead, I run the company's sustainability initiatives including overseeing the installation of solar panels, running the company-wide composting program, running an in-house packaging reuse program, and starting single-use plastic recycling company-wide. Recently, I won the Napa RISE Leadership Award in Waste Prevention and Supply Chain where I gave a TED Talk style lecture on the power of reuse for mitigating supply chain disruptions. Through this program, we are able to divert 32,000 pounds of cardboard from the landfill and reduce our total packaging usage. We are able to reuse packing items up to five times before recycling the items. This program also led to a 63% savings in 2022, mostly due to covid related supply chain disruptions and increase costs of supplies.

John A. Heldt (B.S., 1985) published "The Fair," his seventeenth novel, in June 2020.

Yvonne Fasold, BA '67, MA '69, and PhD '93 is a past president of the national American Rosie the Riveter Association. She was the coordinator for the ARRA annual convention, held this year in Portland, Oregon. 15 World War II women workers, ages 94-101, attended the convention with their friends and family. The Portland Rose Festival Foundation named the Rosies as Grand Marshals of the Grand Floral Parade, Boeing sponsored the Rosie float, and the Rosies were honored for their service to our country. 6 million women entered the work force to help win World War II, and Yvonne reminds us to REMEMBER and BE INSPIRED. Judy Hendershott ('61) and her husband John Munch recently attended a 25th wedding celebration in the Tatra Mountains of Poland.

Finally fully retired in Joseph, OR, after living in Colorado Springs, Oregon (Newport, LaGrande, McMinnville and Joseph), and New Mexico ( Silver City, Corrales and Bernalillo). Got tired of moving.

My fiancee Paul Thompson (JD '11) and I welcomed our first son, Leo Gray Thompson, on December 1st. We reside in Portland where Paul runs his own law practice and I work in affordable housing finance for PNC Bank

At age 69, I finally found the right guy and married David M. Munro on December 20,2022 in Portland, OR. I have retired from my career as a advertising, public relations and fundraising professional. David and I live in Southwest Portland and enjoy reading traveling and discovering new restaurants. I am living proof that you ae never too old to find a wonderful mate.

I won a 2021-2022 Emmy for my work on the Tokyo Olympics with NBC Sports. The award was for Outstanding Interactive Experience - Event Coverage. I was an Associate Producer for the games. I worked on a show that aired on Peacock called 'Tokyo Gold.' I produced various segments and highlights for this show. It was one of the most fun moments of my professional career. The twenty day stretch was exhausting but extremely rewarding.

Jay Peters has been promoted from a News Writer to a News Editor at the technology publication The Verge.
