Brian Malloy, B.A., ’01, was selected as a finalist for the 2021 Consumer Attorneys of California’s Consumer Attorney of the Year, and was certified as an Appellate Law Specialist by State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in 2022’s The Best Lawyers in America and 2021’s Super Lawyers. He is with The Brandi Law Firm in San Francisco, where he lives with his wife, Aimee.

Cassi Clark's hit book, Breastfeeding is a Book, But We Lovingly Do it Anyway, comes out in Audio (English and Spanish) this month in celebration of National Breastfeeding Month. Look for it on Audible.

She is also looking for an agent for her historical fiction novel about a female psychopath running for office in 1912 Denver. It's a cross between Devil and the White City and Vanity Fair, and will appeal to anyone who believes a woman's place is in the room where the deals get made and the halls of government.

Mary Elizabeth Madden completed three years as the Deputy Economic Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. In August, she moves to Brussels to work at the U.S. Mission to the European Union.

The Ford Family Foundation awarded the City of Cottage Grove with a $125,000 grant to begin work on the exterior restoration of the front entrance portion of the Cottage Grove Armory's facade. (Cottage Grove, OR)

The Eugene Family YMCA received a $34,000 capacity building grant from the Oregon Community Foundation. This allowed the Y to hire a campaign manager for their $34M This is Y capital campaign to build a new facility. (Eugene, OR)

Pullman Regional Hospital has received a $250,000 grant from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust to purchase new equipment to enhance and expand current cardiology services. (Pullman, WA)

Captain Justin Medlen, USAF, graduated from the University of Oregon School of Music in 2008. After graduating he enlisted as an F-15 Weapons Loader for 5 years before being selected as a pilot, commissioning in 2013.

As of 2019, Captain Medlen has flown more than 1100 hours in combat in the KC-135 Stratotanker Aerial Refueler, completing more than 180 combat sorties through 6 tours in operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, JUNIPER MICRON, RESTORE HOPE, and NOBLE EAGLE, flying in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabi, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, UAE, Spain, Germany, France, England, Ireland, Romania, Morocco, Algeria, Mali, Chad, Niger, and Burkina Faso.

His Military Decorations include 7 Air Medals, 2 Aerial Achievement Medals, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Combat Readiness Medal,Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War in Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Outstanding Militarily Volunteer Service Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Medal with "N" Device, NATO Non-Article 5 Medal for Operation Resolute Support.

I have just retired after teaching English at La Center High School in La Center, Washington for 40 years.

Lydia (Chambers) Dillier, AIA has re-joined Boulder Associates Architects as an Associate leading up a new Los Angeles office for the firm.

Jay recently celebrated 45 years of paddling, rowing and swimming the wild and scenic section of the Rogue River. All thanks to skills acquired at the UO Outdoor Program. While an active leader/participant on expeditions run through the OP, Jay also taught classes in kayak building, whitewater kayaking & rafting and boat repair. He was also a professional river guide on NW rivers for several years.
"I can't stress enough, the importance of getting beyond the books during time at university..." He's recently semi-retired from a career in media, including a couple of decades as a producer for NBC News.

Edward R. Truitt is currently an Associate Professor of Dance at West Texas A&M University. He is an internationally award winning choreographer, a Fulbright Specialist and recognized internationally as a teacher and choreographer. His work has been performed in the U.S., France, Japan, Italy, and across Russia in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and Krasnoyarsk. Mr. Truitt has made seven trips to Russia teaching and presenting his creative work. His 2004 trip to Russia was the subject of a documentary film "Dancing in Russian Air" which aired regionally on PBS.
Since graduating from the University of Oregon Mr. Truitt has served as Artistic Director of the Lone Star Ballet Company and the New Mexico Ballet Company, has served as a
Visiting Professor at the University of Utah Ballet Department, an Assistant Professor of Dance at Southern Utah University, was a FT Lecturer at California State University-Fresno, and was a Visiting Professor of Ballet at Brigham Young University and co-directed Brigham Young University Ballet Theatre.
He is currently a member of Counseil International de la Danse, CORPS de Ballet International, Phi Beta Delta (honor society dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education), National Association of Schools of Dance and the American College Dance Festival Association.

Bradley Burke, BA '16 (cinema studies), debuted his first film, Waldgeist, on Amazon's video streaming service.

Jordan Hasay, BS '13 (business administration), placed third in the women's race in the 2019 Boston Marathon.

The Jamaican National Team selected former Ducks soccer player Marlo Sweatman, BA '16 (general social science), to play in the Women's World Cup this summer in France.

Sanne Godfrey, BA '13 (journalism), was named education reporter for the News-Review in Roseburg.

M JACKSON, PhD ’17 (geography), a glaciologist and geographer who has visited approximately 1,000 glaciers, was selected as speaker for VOICES, a lecture series that brings influential and powerful women to Portland in a platform dedicated to inspiring, empowering, and connecting women.

Luis Erazo, MArch '15, joined Pivot Architecture in Eugene as a product designer and multimedia fabricator.

Riley Mulvihill, BA '17 (sociology), has been named technology instructor for TranZed Apprenticeship Services, which offers apprenticeship programs throughout the mid-Atlantic area.

Alycia Pirmohamed, MFA '14 (creative writing), was one of four winners of the 92nd Street Y's 2019 Discovery Poetry Contest for her poem, The Making of a Ghost.

Samantha Freson, BArch '18, has joined Stemach Design and Architecture in Bend as a design professional.
